A lip-smacking 50 50 blend of Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois grapes, harvested by hand from two distinct plots in picturese Alsace. Grapes are fermented on indigenous yeasts on the lees in old barrels until bottling with no fining, filatration or added sulphur. Cloudy with 80 s acidity and delicious notes of orchard and citrus fruits, with a hint of the tropics on the finish
Located in the charming village of Andlau in Alsace, the Durrmann family has been producing organic wines from their ancestral home since 1979, with son Yann taking over the reigns last year. They firmly believe in the quality of their grapes and terroir, and aim to preserve this quality with minimal intervention in the winery, employing natural production techniques such as the use of native yeasts and low-to-no addition of sulphur. Part of the production is vinified in stainless steel while the rest is aged on old wooden casks. This results in wines that are balanced, precise, and elegant, with a purity and depth that can only come from careful natural winemaking.
