The G.O.A.T of Natural Wine? La Geiss which means Goat in Alsatian has its name due to the parcel being up a pretty much vertical slope, so steep up until recently Goats were the only thing able to maintain it.
100% Pinot Noir that undergoes 10 days on skins with stems removed giving a richer structure to the wine whilst maintaining that moreish Pinot Noir vibe we know and love. Super Juicy, big boy redcurrant, and cranberry notes all finished off with another visually incredible label by local tattoo artist Gypsy King . Unbelievably excited to bring you the wines of Alsace based, Domaine Muller-Koeberle. David took over the family estate in 2012 along with his partner Marianne to completely redefine Natural Winemaking in the region and turn the family 27 Hectare estate into one of the most progressive and biodiverse farms not only in France but the world.
David has a huge passion for agroforestry which encourages biodiversity and cohabitation between the numerous different species and nature in the region. On our recent visit we saw first hand how agroforestry can help modern day growers with David showcasing a new project of growing fruit trees within the vines to assist with increasing the soils temperature in Winter and providing shade during the summer.
Since David has taken the helm at the estate they are now a fully biodynamic and zero zero grower and have been awarded Demeter certification along with the latest Vin Methode Natural accreditation which is only given to producers where the wines have less than 30mg of naturally occurring sulphur.
