The German grapes were 100% whole bunch pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks, where it was inoculated with a yeast strain. After fermentation it went through full malolactic fermentation. The Spanish grapes were destemmed and macerated for 1 day before being bled off the grapes using Saignee method. It was inoculated with a yeast strain and fermented in stainless steel, after which it went through full malolactic fermentation. The two wines were then blended together (50%-50%) and aged in stainless steel. It was filtered prior to bottling.

Renegade isn t a traditional producer as they don t have a vineyard and instead buy their grapes depending on quality from growers in the UK and as far and wide as Albania. Why have the restraints of having to use the same grapes year in year out even if you know the previous vintage was better? Anyway, we have long been fans of these guys not because of their ethos and culture or their incredibly original labeling but because their wines absolutely BANG!
