A brand new wine from Tillingham. Flor is a blend of two components: a barrel of Chardonnay from 2019 and one from 2020. Both have been whole-bunch pressed and fermented and aged in old oak. During the ageing process, neither have been topped up and as a result have been ageing under flor. Intense. Imagine light delicate manzanilla sherry, a touch of tangerine on the nose. The palate is an explosion of bright acidity, and the enticing nuance of oak ageing makes itself present at this stage. A textural wine: mouth coating and long lasting on the finish.
